Samata’s campaign posters

The National Policy Advocacy Cell of the development organisation Samata recently brought out two posters concerning land and land rights. A launching ceremony of posters was held on December 14 at the YWCA auditorium in Mohammedpur.

The function was addressed by Chairman of the Land Reforms Board Hossain Mortuza Munshi, Director General of the Land Records and Survey Directorate Abu Haider Sardar, Director General of the NGO Affairs Bureau CQK Mushtaque Ahmed and Inspector General of the Registration Office Md. Mizanur Rahman. The programme was chaired by Md. Sarwar Alam, with Coordinator of the National Policy Advocacy Cell Coordinator Zahid Rahman delivering the welcome speech.

Chairman of the Land Reforms Board Hossain Mortuza Munshi said that the two posters aimed at raising public awareness would benefit the people. Director General of the Land Records and Survey Directorate Abu Haider Sardar praised Samata for the two posters, suggesting that these be used for training purposes. Inspector General of the Registration Office Md. Mizanur Rahman said that if people were aware of the laws, no one could cheat them. NGO Affairs Bureau CQK Mushtaque Ahmed had praise for Samata’s initiative for law-related campaign. He said since the government represented the people, it was necessary to coordinate the advocacy work with the government.
